Inn Credible military-chic booties!

Posted by Sophie on Thursday, April 29th, 2010

Military fashion is going stronger than ever and it keeps evolving.  Perhaps the easiest yet most effective way to add a touch of military-chic style is by slipping into a cool pair of boots.  Found these incredibly striking boots – the Inn Credible army canvas booties ($159.95) have that spot on broken-in look as if you’ve been marching the field for miles.  Hot, hot, hot!!!

This particular distressed green is versatile with just about any color and seamlessly goes with skinny jeans or skirts.  All you need is to pair a loose tee, cute cargo shorts, and the booties to pull off an army-chic vibe.  You see, military fashion doesn’t have to be mannish or complicated at all.

Not a fan of killer heels?  Don’t worry cause you will love the comfy 3.25″ heel on this bootie.

Pyramid black heels – my top 5 picks

Posted by Sophie on Sunday, April 11th, 2010

I’ve always admired metal accents especially pyramid-shaped studs.  Pyramid studs are no longer for just teen rebels & punk kids.  You can spot them from the fashion runways to the fashionistas on the streets seamlessly incorporating these fun studs.

Studded shoes are an easy way to add a touch of edginess to your outfit.  I like when studs match the color of the material they lay on, like these black on black Dolce Vita Saffron Sandals & Cynthia Vincent Taylor Boots.  For the luxe pair I recommend Rodolphe Menudier Wedge Sandals.  The wedge is completely covered in raised leather pyramid studs.  Hot, hot, hot!  If you prefer shiny studs, Fruit 3035 Sandals & Michael Antonio Leonardo Pumps are super cool.  Just like animal prints, keep your studs limited to one item at a time but feel free to mix & match to expand your wardrobe options.

How to style ballerina skirts

Posted by Sophie on Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

Would you wear ballerina skirts?  Of course you would!  Why in the world would you miss out on such fun skirts?  The question is how do you wear it and with what?  Ballerina/tutu/tulle skirts are more versatile than you think.  And they’ll make you feel like a princess indeed!  Bold skirts like these look best when mixed & matched with different elements whether it’s a plain top or a sexy biker jacket.  All I need is a simple t-shirt and a pair of comfy flats for easy styling.  Team up with hoodies & sneakers for a more eclectic ensemble.  Dress up or down, going to a party or lunch, you are going to luv these fluffies!

Hot mesh sandals by Jeffrey Campbell

Posted by Sophie on Monday, April 5th, 2010

Whether it’s a top or shoes, now is the time to wear mesh things.  The Jeffrey Campbell Mesher pumps resemble the much coveted Miu Miu Forma cutout sandals.  Among the numerous Forma-inspired pairs, Mesher is clearly the sexiest pair of them all.  The nylon mesh lining under punched leather pretty much makes this heel the must-have shoe of this season.  Lower in price yet tougher in style!

Chain anklet heels from R&R – Top 3

Posted by Sophie on Monday, April 5th, 2010

If you are a fan of the rock-chic style or into sexy heels in general, you’ll love these three killer pairs Romy, Alayna, Pandora by Rock & Republic.  I’m drawn to pewter metallic finishes that exude industrial appeal.  A bit steep in price as you would expect from R&R but these are some of the hottest chain shoes to dip your feet into.  Drape the chains in front or back or go without by simply removing (on Romy & Alayna).  I love the chains falling behind the heels like the sexy back drapery on a Victorian dress.
