Cover Girls – Celebs or Models

There was a time when models reigned the fashion magazine covers… good times. Now and over the last several years fashion magazines are bombarded with celebs gracing the covers. Almost every single fashion magazine I subscribe to arrives with a celeb pic right on the front. I’m clearly aware of celebs’ selling power but it gets old seeing them on one mag after another. Don’t we see them enough already? I sure do miss seeing models on the covers like in the 80’s & 90’s. Sometimes it’s refreshing to see faces that we are not so familiar with… even no name models or perhaps up & coming designers would be neat. It’s clear that this country is still celebrity-obsessed. European mags are not as bad. Thank goodness.
