Military inspired fashion is ultra hip & stylish… the perfect blend of tough meets pretty. And gladly, it’s not going anywhere… just evolving. Here are HipGirlie’s five accessory picks with a delicious army vibe. Mix each of these accessories into your wardrobe to create a more visually enticing style.

Love at first sight - Yves Saint Laurent Suede Tote from the FW 2010 collection. The faded military green color and the braid stitching caught my attention right away. Like fine wine, it will only get better and better as it ages.
How about an eco-friendly watch with a cheap price tag? This Sprout Unisex Watch offers sporty army style for only $30. Check out these monster-sexy Miss Sixty Scarlett mary janes. The harness detail gives it an extra punch of style.
To me, there are no sunglasses cooler than ones with green trim. But, it has to be the right color like on these Lacoste Acetate Sunglasses in khaki green. Last but not least, the Kettle Black Studded Buckle Bracelet has mutli-color metallic studs and unique buckle closure. And of course in Army green color.

I find skulls beautiful. Skulls are a reminder of how much we are all alike under our skin. And in the world of fashion, rockin’ skull motifs have become wide spread and now in demand. Alexander McQueen has popularized the trend and made it even more fashion-forward.
Whether it’s a skull ring or t-shirt, mix & match into your wardrobe one piece at a time. Keep in mind that skull fashion doesn’t even have to be biker-chic or gothic-y. Never over do it but rather make it your own… customize it.
Skull tees or tanks are easy & versatile without being skull-overkill. They come in many different colors with varying types of skulls on them.
Here are HipGirlie’s favorite skull tops. Wear alone or under a vest or jacket, casual or dressy.
Purple Skull Tee, Mermaid Skull, Metal Skull Tank, Skull Bunny
Vintage Skull, Muliticolored Skull, Skull Tank, Lace Studded Skull

Perhaps the most popular military inspired shoes are ankle boots. Any fashionista should own at least one pair of canvas boots cause they are one of season’s most sought after trends.
Although there are many combat style boots around, there are only a few chic high heeled ones available. HipGirlie’s first choice is easily the Balmain Lace-up canvas ankle boots. Go for solid khaki/green canvas boots instead of the camouflage print which can look tacky.
Here is a cheaper alternative – Nine West Digger Boots. They will give you a sexy militant boost to your plain outfit. Pair them with just about anything - skinny jeans, shorts, dresses, tights, etc.

Nine West Digger $59.60 $149
Also check out these Inn Credible booties that are perfectly distressed & military inspired as well.

Denim fashion has really evolved more than ever just within the last few years. Now, denim has reached beyond jeans and jackets. From shoes to swimsuits, denim is a top choice when it comes to its versatility & style. Instead of dressing head to toe in denim, incorporate one or two of these denim pieces into your outfit.
These Givenchy-like heels, Denim Strapped Sandals are dressy enough yet the denim finish gives it a casual appeal at the same time. Truly summery, this darling Lippa Dress has rope ties at the waist and around the neck. A denim vest is a great alternative to a denim jacket, being much more ideal in warmer weather. Wear it over a flirty dress or with leggings and a tee for an easy-breezy ensemble.
Denim accessories give a refreshing finishing touch – Saddle Up Bag, Denim Necklace, Denim Studded Headband, Chain Denim Bangle. HipGirlie’s must-have bikini of the season is this crisp Denim and Stripe Bandeau Bikini with a detachable & adjustable halter strap. The black & white striped ties are too adorable!
