Here are the top 10 best selling perfumes in Britain reported by Daily Mail. I’m not surprised that the Chanel N°5 is the most popular being one of my favorites as well. I think Chanel makes some of the best smelling stuff including my staple scent Chanel N°5 Eau Premiere. I also like Prada, but the rest not so much. Do you like any from this list?
If you are looking for a HOT fall fragrance, I would recommend – LOLA. Marc Jacob’s newest creation Lola is a sexier and more sensual scent compared to her sweet sis Daisy. Actually, I wasn’t that impressed with Daisy. Lola is infused with a subtle sexy, flirty, and sophisticated scent that is so fabulous without being too sweet or heavy. It is hands down, um… the prettier sis.
The fruity, floral, musky notes combined together into such an intoxicating juice! Thanks to perfumer Calice Becker who describes Lola “shiny, glossy, saturated, vibrant, warm.” It aims to embody a “modern free spirit with an irresistible attitude,” according to the brand.
Top notes: pink peppercorn, pear, ruby red grapefruit Heart notes: rose, fuchsia peony, geranium Base notes: vanilla, warm tonka bean, creamy musk
Below are the photos from the ELLE Sept. article “Love Actually” featuring Marc Jacobs and Lola. Can’t you just smell the flowers? Click on the photo for a larger view.
I so crave a cool, crisp, refreshing citrus scent during the hot summer months but it’s not easy to find that perfect citrus fragrance. There are tons of citrus fragrances yet I found that most of them are too sweet and overpowering… except the Chanel N°5 Eau Première which has a hint of citrus that is so intoxicating.
I’m currently coveting the hell out of this fragrance – Carthusia Mediterraneo EDT. The Mediterraneo is absolutely enchanting (from osmoz) : A perfume dedicated to the Mediterranean, birthplace of great civilizations… a dynamic and sun-drenched trail for men and women to share. It unveils a classic construction with zesty accents of citrus, green tea and lemon leaves. I drink green tea with freshly squeezed lemon juice everyday. Not only is it healthy but the aroma is also very therapeutic so I’m thrilled to have found this combo in a fragrance.
I actually want to try all of the Carthusia fragrances. Carthusia originated from one of the most beautiful islands in the world… Capri, Italy. Their limited production still uses the key ingredients grown from the lush island and the packaging is just as darling!
I love this jewelry ad… such pretty storytelling. A luxury French jewelry house Van Cleef & Arpels new collection is whimsical and romantic… will take you to the beautiful Parisian streets of delightful dreams…
Here is a timeless fragrance – Van Cleef & Arpels Feerie Eau De Parfum Spray. I think the bottle is gorgeous! The perfume is inspired by a Midsummer Night’s Dream jewelry collection. I have yet to test out the scent.
French icon Audrey Tautou (remember her in The Da Vinci Code?) has replaced Nicole Kidman as the new face of legendary fragrance Chanel N°5. Although I admire Nicole as a brilliant actress, I think Audrey is a better fit for the Chanel spokesperson – refreshing, sophisticated, and never boring… just like the perfume.
If you are not down with Chanel N°5 be sure to give Chanel N°5 Eau Première a try. It’s a lighter, more youthful version of its predecessor which has become one of my absolute best fragrances of all time. See my detailed review.
You can call this a campaign or commercial but it’s rather a beautiful short film. The film was shot in the exotic location of Istanbul. Enjoy!
And no surprise why Audrey was chosen to play the visionary French fashion designer “Coco Chanel” in a biopic movie Coco Avant Chanel. Can’t wait to see the movie once it’s released in the US.
