Yes, I’m going to start yoga. I’ve been just doing regular exercise routines but I am finally going to start practicing yoga. Better now than never. There is nothing quite like yoga to improve both the mind and body.
As I get older, due to certain body aches, stretching is a crucial part of my health. I want to go beyond stretching – to increase flexibility and strength as well – and what better than yoga to achieve this goal? Seriously, there are endless benefits associated with practicing yoga. I find it would be optimal to incorporate yoga in with my regular workout regimen.
Here are just a few ways that I personally benefit from Yoga. It’s rather therapeutic.
* Anxiety and stress relief
* Increased flexibility
* Improved balance
* Increased strength
* Better breathing
* Mental calmness
* Increased muscle tone
* Improved posture
I’ve always enjoyed being in active wear which means that I’m doing something great for my body by working out and sweating it out. So I’m just as excited about getting new yoga wear as I am about starting to practice yoga. Being a fashionista myself, looking stylish while doing yoga is no exception. A girl’s gotta look good no matter what! Right, ladies?
There is no shortage of yoga clothes including some really cute ones out there. My favorite go-to yoga and workout attire destination has to be Sweaty Betty. I’m going to get this Ahimsa Reversible Yoga Tank and Bikram Yoga Shorts. I like the print along with the light and comfy look of this set.
If it’s rainy and chilly outside, how wonderful would it be to throw this Primrose Hill Waterproof Coat over the workout gear when heading to the studio. Love the grey tone with a pop of bright pink! Oh, I need this bag please – On the Go Luxe Gym Bag. OMG, talking about a chic gym bag! Chanel anyone? Well, it’s cute enough that I will use it as my regular travel bag.
I’m only at a beginner level but I strongly recommend to anyone to start practicing yoga (yes, including men). It has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for sure. Here I come Ashtanga!
