Taking road trips are among the few pleasures I look forward to in summertime. Whether cruising through small towns or driving up to the scenic mountain sides, there is no denying all the fun-filled adventures each road trip can bring along the way!
I’m more than ready for my summer road trip. My goal is to visit the Blue Ridge Mountains – one of the ever-popular road trip destinations in NC. Fingers crossed that I’ll be able to soak in those breathtaking views sometime next month. It’s a good 4 hour drive from where I live which is just about the perfect distance in my book.
Considering the extended amount of time spent in a car, the type of vehicle you drive makes a huge difference on a road trip. This is why I adore my Kia Forte Koup, a fun and comfortable ride with really good gas mileage. The car is small yet roomy, sporty yet affordable. My fav is the sunroof that allows the outside air and light to flow in, and even more enjoyable on rainy days.
It might sound a bit strange but I take such pleasure driving in stormy weather. The rumbling of thunder, the smell of rain, cool breeze and the flickering light show in darkened skies… all are absolutely enchanting to watch and experience while driving. Makes any road trip that much more special. I. LOVE. RAIN. STORMS.
By the way, have you seen the new Kia Cadenza commercial? After owning a handful of sporty cars over the years, it would be nice to drive a bit more classy and luxurious style of car such the Cadenza (in smokey blue with black interior, please). Love the panoramic sunroof which is a must for any new vehicle nowadays.
So, are you itching to hop into your car for a getaway? Maybe you are planning on a road trip cross country? That would be quite exciting while time consuming. As to what to wear on a road trip, I’ve found some cute summer dresses for you to cruise in style!
