In need of a new, cute trash can? This is the latest addition to my kitchen – Simplehuman Retro Step Can. I was debating between the red and cream color. The red one somehow reminded me of a fire extinguisher. The cream steal is ideal as it’s elegant and goes with my kitchen, perfectly!
I love how the lid closes gently and quietly. The surface doesn’t show fingerprints and the lid seals in all the mess and smell quite well. The trash bag is also hidden beneath the lid with a removable inner bin. Regular 13 gallon trash bags work just fine for this 8 gallon size can.
The color looks a bit lighter in the pic but it’s practically identical to my kitchen cabinets. See more colors here. They really should offer in mint as well, that would be lovely.
