Look #5 – Royal Wedding
Clean and polished makeup is ideal for attending a royal wedding or any wedding really. Think of soft eyes and subtle reddish lips instead of heavy or glittery makeup. You don’t want to look like you are about to hit a night club with dramatically overdone makeup.
I used a similar shade to match the burgundy dress that I’m wearing. The color I used is ‘Timeless Allure‘ from the Stay Glossy line. After the first application, I dabbed with a tissue and reapplied for a deeper, longer lasting color. I kept the color relatively light but you can build up to a more intense finish.
I like a chic, elegant and simple look when attending a wedding including a royal wedding (fantasy wedding). So no full-on gown here… let the bride shine in her fancy dress. I started with the key piece, this fab burgundy dress to build the entire outfit around it. Keep the rest of the look polished in black and gray – blazer (similar), pumps, hat, clutch, belt (similar). And thanks to the hat I hardly spent any time whatsoever on my hair.
Look #6 – Birthday Party
I don’t really celebrate birthdays but it’s exciting getting prepped nonetheless! I’m going with green and pink for the birthday makeup. A few pops of color is always fun, plus it makes me feel and look more youthful. Looking youthful is what I need on every birthday… hehe.
Clearly I have an obsession with this ‘Fuchsia Fever‘ Stay Glossy lip gloss. It’s the third time using the color for the challenge, and many more times going forward I can assure you. Only one shade is used below. This pink brightens up my mood big time.
I don’t normally plan my outfits. Nine times out of ten, I scour my closet to grab whatever feels right at the moment. I like that just-throw-on sort of look that seems effortless. I didn’t even realize that I doubled up on leopard print. Platform wedges are the perfect shoes to give some lift, and comfortable enough to celebrate through the night. Same goes with the dress. A very comfy, lightweight dress (similar) to dance in… just don’t eat too much beforehand of course. LOL!
