I had the pleasure of reviewing the Divine Cream from L’Occitane. It’s from the Immortelle range line to which I’m a big fan. The yellow-orange jar is really pretty yet heavy. Thank goodness the lid is not glass… I’ve dropped it several times already. The little instructional booklet came in handy on how to apply the cream properly.
So rich & creamy!
Warming the cream first seemed to help it soak in better. Instead of smearing, gently dab a super thin layer onto the face as it melts into the skin.
I’ve been using the cream for about a month. The cream is quite a splurge at $98!
Here are my pros and cons.
- Faded dark spots (love it!)
- Hydrating & nourishing
- Easily absorbs
- Soft and supple skin texture
- Great base under makeup
- Organic ingredients
- Can be oily on my combination skin
- Same breakouts
- Strong scent (more herbal than floral)
- High price tag
So, if you want superb moisturization (especially for those with dry & mature skin) along with some great anti-aging benefits – the Immortelle Divine Cream by L’Occitane is the one! I’m mostly delighted and surprised on how effectively this cream has faded my dark spots and brightened my overall skin tone – better than some brightening products! Since the cream can get oily around my T-zone, I focus more on the dry-prone areas such as around the eyes, chin and neck. One more thing, use it within 6 months of the purchase as it expires beyond that point.
This video pretty much sums it up as to what the cream is all about and it demonstrates proper ways to apply the cream. For best results, L’Occitane recommends using the divine extract and divine eyes in conjunction with this cream.
