Mascara really makes eyes POP! Even for those of us that are born with typical “barely-there”, short Asian eyelashes like myself. It sure makes a difference. But, mascara is one type of makeup that I don’t splurge on. I prefer affordable mascaras that work just as good or better than those high end brands.
My latest and newest mascara is the L’Oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes waterproof mascara, in black. I bought mine from Walgreen’s for $8.99. I first saw this mascara advertised in a fashion magazine featuring Gwen Stefani. It claims to create the most outrageous false lash look with lash sculpting fibers. Well, let’s see.
The mirror-like reflective surface gives it a sleek exterior look. I like the waterproof formula that won’t turn me into a panda at the end of the day.
See the bare brush head… you can see the bristles (not rubberized!) in detail. I find a thinner wand like this works better on my wimpy eyelashes than the fat ones do.
Now for the waterproof test. Nothing budged under a fully running faucet. Also, there was NO smudge after wearing it all day! Smudge proof indeed. And, you’ll need a makeup remover to completely take it off.
Before & after. Nothing but the mascara. The tiny bristles are excellent at separating and defining lashes. I’d say this mascara is great for both lengthening & volumizing. Mind you that I don’t have much to speak of in terms of lashes to begin with. Sigh.
On me, the effect is not as dramatic as wearing actual false lashes but it’s right at the top of the mascara chain when it comes to creating natural yet longer, fuller looking lashes. Overall, it’s a wonderful mascara on a budget, and I’m very happy with the end result!
Create the most outrageous false lash look with our newest, most technically advanced volume mascara – Voluminous False Fiber Lashes. With the power of sculpting fibers this dual fiber mascara wraps each lash to boost, sculpt & volumize building an incredible false lash look. http://on.fb.me/nYOsG7
