I have switched most of my makeup to mineral based since it’s more natural and has helped my sensitive skin so far. My only complaint is the high price. I recently spent over $50 just on a small powder and two eyeshadow pots. I’m very happy with the powder but not so impressed with the eyeshadows that cost me nearly $30! For the price there was nothing too special about the eyehadows.
So when I heard about the e.l.f. mineral makeup line I had no reason not to try it. You know e.l.f. makeup is super duper affordable! I’m really interested in their 100% natural mineral eyeshadow & blush/bronzers in particular since I go through them so fast especially the eyeshadows (blame it on smoky eyes!).
The eyeshadow is $3 and the blush is $5! Now that’s mineral makeup on a budget! I always check the reviews before making any beauty purchases (makeupalley, totalbeauty, youtube) and the ratings are very positive on them like 4 out of 5 or 9 out of 10. That’s quite impressive considering the dirt cheap price. Perhaps I’ve found the best affordable mineral eyeshadow/blush on the market! If you are on a tight budget, you’ll find their eyeshadow/blush/bronzers to be an awesome value.
Here is a fab video of eyeshadow/blush swatches so you get a better idea. There are plenty of color options to blend together, both shimmery and matte. As with any makeup, good primer helps.
E.L.F also has a mineral brush line. Each brush is only $5 and you can scoop up a set for an even better value. Love the light color combo, plus they are eco-friendly.
One more e.l.f. beauty find is the Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloth. I use this occasionally to wipe off makeup before I wash my face. It works just as good as the more expensive brands. The box contains 20 sheets for only $3. I really like the black/white packaging.
